Our Mission

The Lone Star Shooting Association was founded by a group of American and European shooters with three aims in mind:

 1. Build a set of easy 3 gun match rules (including airsoft replicas), with the objective of creating safe, easy scoring and fast resetting of stages (impossible with other 3 gun rules).

 2. Build a tool for public and political awareness.  Used to spread legal, responsible possession of firearms and the right to use firearms in a practical manner suitable for self defense, especially in those countries where such shooting sport matches are not permitted.

3.  LSSA will fund projects for the preservation gun rights around the world.

I want to invite everyone to attend the Gun Rights Policy Conference (GRPC 2012).  I’ve made my reservations.  Have you made yours?  Click here for Free Registration form.  The theme for the conference this year is Elect Liberty.

This is your opportunity to meet national gun rights leaders and your fellow grassroots activists.  The GRPC will be held in Orlando, FL at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport hotel on September 28, 29, & 30, 2012. This is your once-a-year chance to network, get an insider's look and plan pro-gun rights strategies for the coming year, hear movement leaders--and make your voice heard.

This year we'll take a look at critical issues such as: city gun bans, "smart" guns, concealed carry, federal legislation, BATFE policies, legal actions, gun show regulation, state and local activity. We'll also review the 2010 elections, discuss the 2012 Presidential race and analyze Right to Keep and Bear Arms court cases.

The full roster of GRPC 2012 speakers has not yet been set. Past speakers include: Alan M. Gottlieb, Joseph P. Tartaro, Eugene Volokh, Bob Barr, Alan Gura, Wayne LaPierre, John Lott, Sandy Froman, Massad Ayoob, Tom Gresham, G. Gordon Liddy, Michael Reagan, Larry Elder, Ken Hamblin, and many others.

I can tell you from firsthand experience that you will have a great time.  I was honored to be one of the speakers at last year’s GRPC in Chicago.  I spoke about gun rights issues in Europe and how their problems impact our gun rights issues here in the U.S.A.

The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) and the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) picks up the tab for lunch, receptions and hundreds of dollars worth of materials given to each attendee.
